Monday, April 8:

Today we went to Italy. We had to be at the train station at 8.30. We first took the train to Zwolle and then the train to Schiphol. When we were at Schiphol we went check in. after we went check in we go to the plain. In afternoon we were in Italy. We go to get our suitcases and went to the train station. We have to be in the train for 2 hours. We arrived in Orte at 8 p.m., there was Alice ( my host) and her mother waiting on me. We go to her house. As dinner I had a typical Italian food; cotoletta and chips.

 

Tuesday April 9:

Today was the first day in Italy. We had to be on school at 8.30 a.m. first we got a presentation and we got to know what the groups are. Then we went downstairs were we work on the project. After lunch we went hiking. The guide told us this about the special places we were. There was a kind of pyramid where a long time ago, there were sacrifices on that pyramid. The walk was 7 km long. In the evening we went to a kind of party at the house from a Italian guy. We eat pizza. We dance on music from the different countries. We went home late.

 

Wednesday April 10:

Today was also have to be on school at 8.30 a.m. we work again on the project. My group and I had the subject young people. So, we talked about things we like to do and we came at the idea to make a presentation about things young people like to do. In the afternoon we go to Orte itself. We got a tour of the underground corridors below the town. After the tour we got a demonstration of the festival that is in the summer. In the evening Alice and I went to Alexia. Jelle and is host and Hanna and here host also came to her house. We had dinner at her house and watch the match of Ajax/Juventus. After the dinner we went back home.

 

Thursday April 11:

Today we had to wake up very early, because today we went to Florence. This morning I had breakfast in the hotel of her parents. The teachers stay in this hotel. We had to be on school at 6.30 a.m. the bus ride was like 2 hours and we had a break on the way. When we arrived in Florence we had a tour in the city itself. The tour was like 2 hours long and it was a bit boring, because it was to long. After the tour you had 2 hours free time. I was with a small group and walked across the city. After the 2 hours we had to be on a square, because we go to the Uffizi museum. We also got a tour in the museum. After the tour we went back home.

 

Friday April 12:

Today we have to be later on school, because almost everybody was already done. In the afternoon we went to see waterfalls. When we were there, we had to wait for our guide. A Dutch teacher bought a ball and we played volleyball. The guide arrived and we go to the waterfalls, and it started to rain. We made pictures by the waterfalls. We walked along the waterfalls, and were the tour ended the bus was waiting for us. In the afternoon we all go to a pizzeria and had dinner there, and there was a lot of pizza! After dinner we go to a café, and it was really nice.

 

Saturday April 13:

Today we went to a park of monsters. This is a park of rocks in different kinds of shapes. Our teachers where told you can go walking alone in the park of go with the others and go a kind of tour. I and the other Dutch students and teacher go alone, but actually you had to go with the others. In the afternoon you had free time. I had lunch with my host family. As lunch we ate pasta carbonara, because when I had dinner for the first time here they asked me what kind of Italian food I liked. I said pasta carbonara. After dinner I played with her little brother on the PlayStation and Alice and I played just dance. It was a lot of fun. In the evening we had on school the farewell party. We had to do our presentation on the party. Everybody had a good presentation. After the presentations we had dinner. Every host family made something. After dinner we dance on the music. When the party was over, we went back home.

 

Sunday April 14:

Today we went back home. This day we had to be on the train station around 8.30 a.m. Alice and her father brought me to the train station. We said goodbye. We had to be in the train for like 2 hours. When we arrived at the airport we checked in and had lunch. Our flight was in the afternoon. We arrived in Amsterdam late in the afternoon. We went to get our suitcases and go to the train. The train trip was 2 hours. When we arrived in Hoogeveen my parents, brothers and grandmother and grandfather were waiting for me. It was a nice experience.
