Monday: 

We were supposed to be at the train station at 9:45. We said goodbye to our family and left at 10:05. We checked in at 12:25 and had some free time. The plane left around 14:30. The plane landed around 4:30. We took the train to Orte. My host and his father were waiting for me there. They lived 10 minutes from the train station. We ate fish and potatoes, so not really something typical Italian. After dinner Jelle and some more foreign students joined us. Luckily I had my own room. And not such a small room either.

 

Tuesday: 

We had to go at 8:30 and sometimes we walked together with Jelle and his host or his father took us by car. We got explanations and were divided into groups. We had to do a presentation or a specific subject. In the assigned groups we went to visit classes. I had to go to the history lesson and to the gardens. Later on we went by bus to a mountain. We all had to climb that mountain. It took quite a long time but in the end you got something in return. A super nice view. We went home again and later that night my host's father brought us to a party at someone's house. We ate pizza and we had music.

 

Wednesday: 

We were supposed to be at school at 8:30. We had to work on our project for a few hours. We had a break and we all went to play volleyball in the gym. Around 14:30 we left walking to Orte 'Underground'. We walked in groups underground in caves. After that there was a small show for us with men and boys who all did nice tricks with flags. Then my host and I went home. His girlfriend came by and we ate pasta and watched football.

 

Thursday:

We had to be at the school bus at 05:00. After 2 and a half hours we arrived in Florence. We got a tour through the city with a guide. We had a little bit of free time and then we were going to visit a museum so they split us up in 2 groups. We left again by bus and we went to eat in orte at the MacDonalds.

 

Friday:

We were supposed to be at school at 9:30. We worked on our project again and at 12:30 we were picked up by bus and left for Marmore Falls. It was very beautiful there, especially the waterfalls. It started raining very hard and I had already given my coat to a Greek student because everyone was very cold except the Dutch students. Me and Joran left the cave together where it was very slippery and raining very hard. As a joke I wanted to take his umbrella and run back so he would stand there in the rain. But I fell on the wet muddy ground myself, it was very bad karma. Later that night we went out to dinner with all the students and had pizza. Finally we went home and went straight to sleep.

 

Saturday: 

We had to be at school at 07:00 and immediately took the bus to the 'Monster Park'. We walked through it for a while and finally walked back to the bus. We went back to school and started working on the project again. Around 19:00 we had to be at school again. I went to walk with Jelle and his host. Each parent had made their own food and took it with them. After the presentations you could grab food. There was a special cake made for the Erasmus + project. After the party we all went home and went to sleep.

 

Sunday: 

We were supposed to be at school at 8:20. We said goodbye to everyone and arrived at the airport at 10:00. Around 12:15 we left by plane. We arrived at 15:00. We missed the first train so we had to wait for the next one. At 18:00 we arrived back in Hoogeveen.
