Monday April 9 

We first had a long travel day and we arrived in Orte around 8 o'clock in the evening. When we met at the station we went to the house with the parents. We were both quite tired from the trip and because of that, wanted to go straight to bed but we had  dinner first. We ate pasta and were also talking. After dinner we went to our room, unpacked our bags and went to sleep.  

 

Tuesday April 10 

We got up at a quarter to seven, after we got dressed we went down to eat. The mother had been making a lot of food and there was a lot to eat. After breakfast we went to our room to get ready. When we were done we went straight to school. When we went in after a few minutes of chatting, we were first taken to a room where we were given an instruction about the week and the groups were assigned. Then we went to class with the groups. I was in a physics class where there were only 2 students. After class we started working on the powerpoint and distributing it. We first started looking up some information and then we started. A little later we had a break and we all sat outside. After lunch we went to the bus, that was around 1 o'clock. After a fifteen minute drive we arrived at a tower where guides were. They gave an explanation and then we went hiking, it was a lot of walking but it was very nice and beautiful, I also got a lot of pictures of the hike. Around 6 o'clock we arrived back at school and we waited a little longer for the parents because they were talking to each other. Then we went back home and got ready for some sort of party that they had organized. They had ordered a lot of pizza but it all ran out quickly. It was a nice evening and when we came back late we went to sleep immediately.

Wednesday April 11 

 We got up at a quarter past six because we didn't want to rush too much. We quickly got dressed and ate croissants and lots of other sandwiches. Then we went upstairs to brush our teeth and get ready. Around 8 o'clock we went to school by car, when we arrived, we sat in our groups and continued with the powerpoint. At 10 o'clock we had a break and half an hour later we started working on the project again. A little later we finished it and started doing something for ourselves. Then we had a break, ate some food on the stairs and played with a ball. From half past one we played volleyball in the gym. About an hour later we went walking to Orte underground. A few others and I walked with one of our teachers in front, we were faster than the rest and so we lost them. We had walked for a couple of minutes and then we had to wait a while. After waiting we went into the underground. We walked there for a while and then we waited somewhere for the other group. When everyone was there we walked back, we sat down in front of a church where a show with flags was done. When the show was over we got an ice cream and after that we walked back to the school to be picked up. When we got home we sat down in our room and afterwards we went to dinner. We ate meat with vegetables and mashed potatoes. Then we had a piece of cake and went to sleep.  

 

Thursday April 12 

 We woke up at around 5 am because we had to leave early. We prepared and went for dinner. At half past six we went to Florence by bus. We first made a stopover where we could buy something. A while later we arrived in Florence and with the guide we went to a square, here we got some things to put in our ears to hear the guide and then we went for a walk. She told about all statues in a museum and on a square. When we were an hour later we took a group photo on a square and then had free time. We went to some stalls and went to an ice cream parlor. When our free itme was over we went to a museum to walk thru it. When we came back from the museum after about an hour, we still had a little free time so we sat down on a terrace. Then we walked towards the bus where we had to stand outside for a while and then we drove back. We went to McDonalds with a bunch of others, which was nice. Then we were picked up and we went home where we immediately went to sleep.

Friday April 13 

We were allowed to sleep in so we woke up around 8 am. We got ready and went for some food. When we had finished eating, we went to school where we continued the presentation. When we were finished with that a while later we went to waterfalls. When we were there we first had to walk for a while and then we came to the waterfall. We could also go through the waterfall, but we did get very wet. When we started walking again it started to rain hard so we went back to the bus. When we returned a little later we went home to get ready because we went to a pizzeria. It was very nice there only the Italians wanted to go to a club. We were taken to that club where we also spent a few hours. When we went back home we immediately went to sleep.  

 

Saturday April 14 

We got up a little before 7 o'clock because we went by bus to the monster park at 8.30. We prepared ourselves, went to dinner and then we left. When we arrived at the park half an hour later we had to wait a while and then we were allowed inside. It was told that you could walk free so we did, later it was told that it was not allowed. We walked around for a while and then it was time to go back to school. When we came back to school, we started preparing the presentations for the evening. When everyone was done with that, we went home to get ready and to have lunch. When we had lunch we went to our room to get ready. A few hours later when we were done we went down because we were almost leaving. When we were back at school, we first did the presentations, which went well and then we were allowed to eat. There was a lot of different food and when everything was finished everyone started dancing. A few hours later everyone went home again. When we got home, we partially packed our suitcase and then went to sleep.  

 

Sunday April 15 

We woke up at 7 am. We prepared ourselves and started packing our bags. Then we went for breakfast. We went on packing again after dinner. Around 10 o'clock we went to the station where we said goodbye to everyone and then we went by train to the airport. When we arrived there a while later we checked everything in and through customs, that went reasonably quickly. Then we were allowed to walk around because we were early. When we were allowed to board a while later we immediately went back. When we returned to the Netherlands a little over 2 hours later, we immediately went to get our bags and went to the train. When we were back in Hoogeveen a few hours later, we went home and went to sleep.
