Monday:

We were supposed to be at the station at 8:15. We arrived at Schiphol airport around 10:25. At 12:20 we left for Greece. At 15:45 we landed in Greece. There it is an hour later. We went by bus on our way to Aliveri. We had a small break on the way and around 19:45 we arrived there. My host and her father were waiting for me. We went with my host and some friends of hers to a football field somewhere high up in the mountains. She had another guest and we all slept in one room.

 

Tuesday:

Her father took us to school and there we got an explanation about what we were going to do that week. Jelle and I walked around for a while and asked if we could go to a class. We were split into groups and we had to do an assignment. Our assignment was to make bracelets. We went by bus to some kind of harbour and we had dinner there. The bus came back later and took us to a bakery. We also went to a church there. We then went home by bus and went to bed.

 

Wednesday:

We had to be ready at 08:15 at the place where we arrived on Monday. From there we took the bus to a museum about old statues. After that we had to fill in a paper about what was told there. The bus picked us up again and we went to a forest where we were supposed to walk with a guide but in the end we had to walk ourselves. Mr. Oosting, a few more students and I walked the difficult path over the water and the stones. And almost all the other students went for a walk on the normal road. After that we went to a restaurant. The bus picked us up again and took us to a building where we got a science lesson about ebb and flow. I found it very boring myself. After that we had some free time, we went to get some food and hit a punching ball. Joran fell on the ground because he wanted to kick him so I had to carry him to the bus. Later we went with a group to a bar and then we went home.

 

Thursday:

We had to work on the project in the morning. We had to make a little presentation about it later. We went to an organic farm and were taught about plants and so on. We had dinner there. We got information about figs. Then we stayed in Aliveri and went back to the bar.

 

Friday:

We didn't have to go to school today. We left at 08:30 by bus on our way to Athens. At 11:45 we arrived there. We went to a museum where a guide told us things about the history and the statues that were there. After that we visited the Acropolis. It was very impressive up there. After that we got free time to walk through Athens. At 16:00 you had to be back in the bus. On the way we stopped for an ice cream. Then we went back home and went to sleep.

 

Saturday:

We were supposed to go to a horse club first, but unfortunately that didn't work out, so we went to a small beach. After that we got some free time and everyone went to a beach where we could swim. At 16:00 everyone left and got ready for the farewell party. I took a shower at someone else's and got myself ready. The party was at the same restaurant where we also swam. The parents had made dinner again and we could eat a lot. The teachers left earlier than the students. There we went to see everyone off.

 

Sunday:

Around 12:00 we had to be present at the departure place. We left from there and were at the airport around 14:30. And around 17:30 we went flying. Around 20:00 we landed on schiphol. We took the train back to Hoogeveen. Around 23:00 we arrived back in Hoogeveen. I was very sorry that the exchanges are over. But fortunately I experienced a lot of nice things with the nicest people.
