Monday 14 October:

This is the day that we go to Greece. We have to be on the train station in Hoogeveen at 8.15 a.m. the train leaves at 8.35 a.m. We arrived 2 hours later on the airport. First we went to check in and after we went to the Duane. The plain leaves at 1 p.m. we arrived in Greece at 5 p.m. we went to go get the suitcases and go outside. There was a driver waiting for us. We have to ride 2 hours. When we arrived in Aliveri Mekeliana ( my host) was waiting on me with her father. We have to drive 30 minutes to her house. It was a small house and I sleep with her on one room.

 

Tuesday 15 October:

I have to wake up at 6.15 a.m. because we have to go with the bus to school and the bus goes at 7.15 a.m. the bus ride was 50 minutes. On school we got a presentation about what we are going to do this week. In small groups we did workshops, my workshop was making jewelry. I make for both of my grandmothers a bracelet. When it was break, we play football. The Dutch against the Spaniards. We go lunch in the harbor in a restaurant. We eat typical Greek food. After lunch we go to a little bakery where they make a spinach pie. In the afternoon I went with Mekeliana to Aliveri to a café where everybody was.

 

Wednesday 16 October:

Today we had to be by a cafe at 8.30 p.m. this day we have a lot to do. First we go to a agrological museum. We get there a little tour and we get a papier with question on it and we have to answer it. After the museum we go to walk, but when we were at the palce, there was no guide.so, the teachers decided theat we go walk on our own. You can choose walk along a river or along the road. All the Dutch and all the Spaniards walked along the river and the others along the road. After the walk we go to a restaurant to have lunch and after lunch we go to the capital of the island, we got there a presentation about the moon.

Thursday 17 October:

We have to be on school at 8.30 a.m. this time we work on the project. M group and made a movie night on the beach. After working on the project we went to a farm were we had lunch. after lunch we went to a fig factory. After the activities we went back home. When we got home I went walking through the village with Mekeliana and talking together.

 

Friday 18 October:

This day we went to Athens. We had to leave early, because it was a very long drive to Athens. We arrived in Athens around 11 a.m. First we went to the Acropolis Museum where all the things were from that time. After a one-hour tour we went to the acropolis itself. Fortunately we didn't get a tour there. After being there for about half an hour, we had 2 hours of free time. I went walking with a group. After those 2 hours we had to go back to the bus. We arrived in Aliveri late.

 

Saturday 19 October:

Today is the last day we will be here. Today we would go horse riding, but that did not happen. That is because the riding school had too few staff. That's why we went to a town and walked around there. We went to a game hall and had lunch at a restaurant. After 2 hours we went back to Aliveri. In the afternoon we had free time. I went to the beach. In the evening we had the farewell party in a beach bar. After the party we went home.

 

Sunday 20 October:

Today we went back home. We have to at 12 a.m. by a cafe. We had to take the bus to the airport for about 2 hours. We were at the airport a few hours in advance. When we checked in, we went somewhere for a sandwich. We flew around half past five. Around 9 o'clock arrived in the Netherlands. After we had packed the bags we went to the train. We still had to sit on the train for 2 hours. Around 11 p.m. arrived home.
